Guest From the Middle Ages…
Historical accuracy has always been one of our top priorities in Medieval Dynasty. That’s why we’re always happy to meet with Michał Moroz, a historical reenactor, to our studio for
a hands-on lesson in medieval life. It’s an invaluable chance for us to get a deeper understanding of the world we’re building, and plenty of inspiration for our upcoming work.
Michał shares fascinating stories about how people lived during the medieval period: how they dressed, what their daily routines looked like, and the ways they worked and interacted with one another. But what makes it really special is that it isn’t just a conversation. Michał brings with him a collection of authentic tools, clothing, and weapons that were actually used during that era. Seeing and handling these objects gives us a tangible connection to the past that no book or research paper could provide.
We spend hours examining everything including simple household items, farming tools, clothing, and even weapons: learning how they were made and how they were used
in everyday life. Not only is it educational but also incredibly fun, bringing history to life
in a way we can’t experienced otherwise.
These visits show us that the beauty of historical accuracy lies in the small details like
the textures of clothing, the weight of a sword, the way tools fit in someone’s hands. These are the things that make a world feel lived-in and authentic. We’re inspired to incorporate these insights into the game, ensuring that every corner of Medieval Dynasty reflects
the richness and realism of medieval life.
It reinforces something we know: history is more than facts; it’s about the people, the routines, and the world they inhabited. We can’t wait for players to experience this depth and authenticity in the game! 😃
