Student Games Festival 2026

This year Render Cube joined the Student Games Festival as a sponsor and partner. Our Business Developer, Kamil Judasz was there to judge student games and give feedback to the teams behind them.

What the festival is about

The Student Games Festival is an international event that puts student creativity in the spotlight. It brings education and the video game industry together, and treats games as works of culture and art.

Best Student Game Awards

The festival’s main event is the Best Student Game Awards, where student teams show what they built and get judged by people from the industry. Kamil spent his time playing the entries and sharing his thoughts with the developers. For many of them, it’s the first time they hear honest feedback from someone working in the business.

Conference

The conference part had talks, panels and workshops where game education meets the industry. Special guests included Rami Ismail, Jakub Dvorský and Jakub Szamałek.

Meeting the industry

Besides the conference, the festival had a few things made for students who want to start a career in games:

  • Networking zones to connect with the video game industry

  • CV and portfolio consultations with industry experts

  • A job fair with game studios, including 11 bit studios, Bloober, Larian, Elsewhere and GOG

  • The Polish Czech Videogames Forum

Congratulations

A big congratulations to all the qualified games and to the winners. Getting a game to this point is hard work, especially for a student team, and it shows. We hope to see more of your projects in the future.

Thank you to the organizers for inviting us. We’re glad we could be part of it
