ZTGK 2026!

Every year we come to ZTGK thinking we know what to expect. And every year we leave a little more impressed than the last.

The 18th edition of Zespołowe Tworzenie Gier Komputerowych took place on 25 and 26 June in Łódź, organized once again by Politechnika Łódzka under the leadership of Rafał Szrajber and prof. Adam Wojciechowski. What started in 2008 has grown into the largest academic game development competition in Poland and one of the most significant in Europe. Being part of it as a gold sponsor and jury means a great deal to us at Render Cube.

What Makes ZTGK Special

For two days Łódź becomes a meeting point for young people who are serious about making games. Students from across the country bring their projects: video games, mobile games, VR experiences, graphic concepts, and present them to professionals from the industry. The atmosphere is hard to describe if you have not been there. It is not a trade show or a conference. It is something more genuine than that.

What we love most is the conversations. Talking to students who are just starting to figure out what kind of career they want, and to teams who are already deep into building something real. This competition is proof that teamwork is at the heart of everything good that happens in game development. Every project on that floor was built by people who chose to create something together, and that shared effort shows in the work.

A Standout Year

The quality of games and artworks at this edition was, as always, genuinely impressive. But two teams stood out for us in particular.

Congratulations to Arcane Weaver and Mrged Mistakes! Both left a strong impression on our jury and we were happy to teach them a new skill: a Shield Wall! We hope it serves you well in whatever you build next.

To everyone who participated: thank you for showing us your work, for the conversations at our stand and for the energy you brought to the whole event. We want to see your games keep growing. We want to see them published. We believe they can be.

See You Next Year

ZTGK holds a special place for us. It is one of the few events in the calendar where you come away genuinely energized about the future of the industry. We are honoured to support it and we have no plans to stop.
